Distorted Reality

 

Distorted Reality means finest Indie-Electro since 1997. Martha Hoffmann's voice and vocal abilities have a very high recognition value and made many fans in the electronic music scene.

Musically the sound of Distorted Reality is not limited to a certain style. Influences from different electronic music genres like Wave, IDM or Synthpop blend seamlessly.

Distorted Reality is back with a new single, "I Can't Imagine," recapturing their signature synth pop and electronic magic after a hiatus. This release is accompanied by a stunning, custom-made music video created by a Berlin-based video art team, directed by Lennart Frank, perfectly harmonizing with the song's lyrics (see video link below).

I Can't Imagine (Single)

After a few years of silence, Distorted Reality is working on new material again. The catchy new single I Knew It Was Wrong was released January 22, 2021. The song was produced by Andreas Meyer (Forma Tadre) who had also produced the album Daydreams and Nightmares.

Daydreams and Nightmares

Daydreams and Nightmares is Distorted Reality's second album, originally released in 2006. It contains timeless Electronica ranging from Electro-Pop (Never Change, Something Wicked, Get a Clue, Rebel Yell) and Synthpop/ Wave (Those Eyes, Into the Night) all the way to elaborated ballads (I am Waiting, Will You Love Me?)

 

The album was produced by Andreas Meyer (Forma Tadre) and contains remixes and colaborations by bands/artists like In Strict Confidence, Daniel Myer (Haujobb/Destroid/ Architect), Das Ich and Julia Beyer (Technoir/Chandeen/Seasurfer).

 

The spectacular Electro cover version of Billy Idol's Rebel Yell was the highlight of each Distorted Reality show! 

The Fine Line between Love and Hate

The Fine Line Between Love and Hate was Distorted Reality's debut album, originally released in 2003. Produced by Bruno Kramm (Das Ich) this album features a unique sound, blending various styles of electronic music together seamlessly. 

 

The songs Super Crush, In My Dream and Fever instantly fueled a small solid fan base in the Electro scene across Europe but also in North America and Mexico. 

 

Further the album features remixes by legendary 80s synth band PROPAGANDA (!) and German Electro act NOYCE TM, both of which are an absolute delight and became popular among insiders.
